Andrew was born is NY and grew up in Scarsdale, where he attended Quaker Ridge Elementary School, Scarsdale Junior High School and Scarsdale High School ('86). Andrew went on to graduate from The Johns Hopkins University ('90) and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania ('01) where he earned an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management. Along the way, he started studying and practicing mindfulness in 1987 and spent the next 30 years traveling and studying mindfulness with leading mindfulness teachers.
Although the Scarsdale School system prepared Andrew excellently for academic achievement and success, mindfulness was not a skill that he learned in the Scarsdale school system. Instead, he traveled to Myanmar and studied with some of the world leading teachers for over 25 years.
Andrew recognizes how critical this skill is to the long-term success and well being of all and now that there is significant research that supports his personal experience, Andrew is offering mindfulness online and in person in group and 1:1 training.
In addition to his formal study for over two decades, Andrew earned the Mindful Schools Educator Essentials Certificate of Completion.
